Our Story

She Is STEM was born out of a powerful vision to bridge the gap and uplift Black women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Our founder, Dione Adofo recognised the need for a supportive space and therefore She Is STEM (SIS) was created to bring together women who share a common passion for STEM, providing them with the advice, resources, and network necessary to navigate their unique journeys.

​What began as a small initiative has blossomed into a vibrant sisterhood, dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of Black women in STEM. At She Is STEM, we are more than just a platform; we are a community that celebrates achievements, fosters growth, and works tirelessly to ensure that Black women have the tools, support, and encouragement to thrive in STEM fields.
